Very pleasing book the title story of which explores Henry James' famous belief that "art makes life". The other stories included are The Death of the Lion, The Next Time, The Figure in the Carpet and The Coxon Fund. Also includes author's preface.
Condition: Some scuffing and tears to dust jacket. Jacket spine tanned and showing a few watermarks. Book beneath faded at the very top of spine. Pages a little tanned with some foxing at edges.
