Frances Hodgson Burnett's The One I Knew the Best of All.

Warne 1974 facsimile edition. Hardback. Identical to first edition. Illustrated throughout by Reginald Birch.

This beautiful book from the author of The Secret Garden and The Little Princess is a partly autobiographical tale of a little girl growing up in Victorian England before settling in America with her family.

The book has been printed on lovely cream paper with dark brown text and illustrations. A very special find.

Red cloth with gilt detailing to spine and original dust cover.

Condition: The inside front cover has some curious damage (see photo) that looks to be a publishing error. The dust jacket covers it entirely and it is not visible from the outside. Fading to jacket spine and some minor scuffing. Inside the book is clean and bright.

Dimensions: 7.5" x 5"
