W. Nicholson and Sons. Hardback. Undated but most likely late 1800's. The publishers had removed from the address stated on the frontispiece by 1919 so it is definitely at least 100 years old.
Highly aesthetic cover with embossing on all sides and gilt detailing on the front and spine as well as decorative endpapers. Lovely letter-pressed text and illuminated lettering. A real treasure.
Condition: Minor scuffing to edges. Binding still holding together well. Some yellowing and foxing to pages. Small water mark on front cover (see photo). Really very good considering age.
