Everyman edition. 1936. Burgundy hardback. Leather-bound or a very convincing imitation.
Originally given to A.R. Eastbury in 1937 as a Physics prize. Embossed with with school crest and motto ' semper sersum' (always aim high) with beautifully hand-lettered presentation plate on inside cover. There's also a list of the first 942 Everyman books at the back along with a copyright stamp and handwritten price. A feature I have never come across before.
Condition: A bit scuffed at the edges. Very minor foxing to page edges. Clean inside with tight binding. Exceptional considering its 81 years.
